About:China Transit Visa

Indonesian Passport transit Shanghai

I will fly from Taiwan to Auckland with a transit at Shanghai Putong Airport for about less than 3 hours by Eva Air, due airline's info, I should claim my luggage and do check in again at Shanghai Putong Airport to continue my flight to Aucklsnd within less than 3 hours ,It means that I need to pass the immigration in Shanghai before I claim my luggage and check in for my next destination. So my question is DO I NEED CHINA VISA?

Heni, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai, so you don’t need any entry permit. You can just apply for a free temporary stay permit after arrival at Shanghai airport, and then you can claim your luggage and check in for your next destination.
