passing through Shanghai airport

I am flying into Shanghai airport from the USA and connecting to a Chinese airline with a final destination in Korea. Do i need any type of visa if i am only staying in the airport?

Rich, if your stop in Shanghai is less than 144 hours, you can enjoy free transit there and then no entry permit is needed.
