is it hard to go to china if i am firstimer?

I have many friends there and my boyfriend also chinese he wants me to go to china but i think it's hard. how can i go what I need to do? I'm willing to pay

You can apply for a tourist L type to go there for a visit. It may not be easy to get it for first timer, but it’s worth a try.
You should first prepare the relevant documents containing your passport and its copy, the completed application form, a passport-style photo, an invitation letter from your friend, and your financial support proof. Next, submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for the L type.
