I am a Sri Lankan on the process of Applying for Resident permit as a businessman in the sector of foreign investor joint venture with China partners , when i enter to China, i understand that i need to take a Police report and other medical reports advised by PSB, but just after i start the process, i need to go out to an other city in the mainland for 5 days, so my questions are, Will the PSB take my passport at the time of handing over the all certificates to process ( as the total process takes 14 days minimum ) ?

You can contact with the PSB and ask for such a letter and it is possible for you to get it to travel to other cities.
