About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

U.S. to BEJING direct to cruise ship???????

I need to know if I am flying directly from U.S. to BEJING only to be picked up directly by Royal Carribean Cruise line shuttle and taken directly to ship which leaves port to Japan, same day, can we use the 24 hour pass????? We only have passports.

Thank you, but UNTIED AIR was apparently not familiar with that rule and did not allow us to board without Visa! We missed our entire trip:/
