About:Summer Palace

Can you please give subway directions to the Summer Palace from the Beijing Prime Hotel Wangfujing?

We have one day free, should we go there first or to the Forbidden City and Tianamen Square?

Walk east for about 500 yards to Dongsi Station. Next, take metro line 6 to Ping An Li Station. Then, switch to metro line 4 to Bei Gong Men Station, Exit D, and you can see the palace.

If you only have one day, you may go to Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square first. :)

Thank you! If we go to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square first, then to the Summer Palace, what method of transport do you suggest? I am uncertain as to the distances involved.

The distance is about 11 mile (17km). After leaving from North Gate of Forbidden City, you may take sightseeing bus line 3 to Beigongmen Station. Then, you can see the palace. Or, you can taxi there for about CNY 50.
