Kenya passport holders are allowed to enter HK freely for a stay of not exceeding 90 days. So no entry permit is needed.
But you need to apply for a tourist L type for Shanghai if you go there for tourism purpose. You need to prepare these materials including the application form, a passport-style photo, your passport and copy of its data page, and proof of transportation and hotel arrangement. Afterwards, submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for the L type entry permit.
