About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am a German National and planning to vist Bejing on a short visit on an invitation

The purpose of visit is to address and make presentation to the Chinese Business community. My Air ticket and hotel/Food will be paid by the Chinese company however I will not get any remuneration for my time. I will arrive from HKG and return to HKG. Please advise if I can get 3 days/nights visa on arrival and and what is the fee. Thank you.

Tauqir, according to what you said, you cannot get the 3-day free transit because you will fly back to HK after staying in Beijing for 3 days, but in principle, you should fly to a third country or region. You need to apply for a business M type for that.
Or you can travel like this HKG-Beijing-Macau-HKG, if so, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing and it is free of charge.
