Hi Tracy, just to clarify your answer, just spoke to Chinese Embassy , entering Beijing for two days, then continuing to HKG doesn't qualify me for the 72 hrs free transit. The reason is cause HKG is considered different REGION not a different country. Therefore I need an entry permit, now change of plans. Thanks for your efforts.
