old passport needed or not

Hello ,

I 'm been told by my travel agent in Jakarta , That I need both my old Indonesian passport and my new Indonesian passport , to obtain a Visa for China . Is this true ?

Currently new passport has more than 6 months validity , and old passport is totally lost . Travelling on 16 October .

I think the travel agent is just slow and making excuses , as he said that after the latest G20 summit the passport rules have changed for Indonesian and is now harder,.

Please help looking froward to your reply

Wayne, many people said that the old passport is needed for the new application now, so I think the old passport may be required. But the old one is needed for a reference only, so it may not be that necessary. If you cannot find it in the end, you can tell the situation to the consular officers honestly. I don’t think it will be a big problem.
