About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

I am in a relationship with a Chinese lady.If she gives me an invitation latter, how long can I stay

I intend to enter into a permanent relationship with a Chinese citizen. We will spend our time in China (Shenzhen) and Melbourne. Probably about 6 months at a time in each Country with perhaps a break in Thailand from time to time.
What type of visa do I need to apply for and what are the requirements?

You can try to apply for a multiple-entry tourist L type for a year. But the L type won’t allow you to stay for 6 months in PRC each time and you can stay for only one month each time.
The required documents include your passport and its copy, a filled-out application form, a passport-sized color photo, and an invitation letter from your partner.
