You can take airport shuttle Shantou West Line from the airport to Shantou Overseas Chinese Hotel (50 minutes), then take taxi to Longhu Hotel (13 minutes). Or you may take Shantou East Line from the airport to Golden Gulf Hotel (around one hour) and take taxi to your hotel (7 minutes).  There are three GSM carriers, you can buy a SIM card at a service counter of any one of the three GSM carriers when you arrive there.
