About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

My student visa expires in 6 weeks and I cannot renew it.

If I leave China for a week, will they let me re-enter on my current X type? Is there a set amount of time I need left on my X type for travel and re-entry?

April, you hold student X2 type, right? If yes, once you exit, you cannot use the same X2 type to re-enter PRC. You need to apply for a new X type because the X2 type is for single entry only.
