About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Unable to find copy of old visa for new application

I am a US passport holder, and I plan to apply for L tourist type for my upcoming trip. My problem is I've visited China back in 1983, but I can't find the old expired passport with that entry permit. I know the application ask for copy of previous entry permit issued. How can I go about answering that question and get the application approve?

Peter, the old entry permit is needed for a reference. If you cannot find it, you can tell the truth to the consular officers, I don’t think it will be a big problem.
