Fly into Honh Kong, travel to Guangzhou and depart that port

Hi,
I am planning a two week holiday ex Australia. We intend on flying into HKG and then departing CAN two weeks later. We hope to travel to Guangzhou via Dongguan on the train. To achieve this journey would a multiple entry visa be our best option and/or is additional documentation needed for some leg of the trip?

Drew, if you just enter mainland PRC once, a single-entry tourist L type is enough. After you get the tourist L type, you don’t need to provide additional documents to enter PRC.
As for HK, Australian passport holders can enjoy free entry to go there.
