Passport unavailable

Please help me i cannot find my 1st passport but I have an old passport which I had recently renewed. I am applying for a visa for work-related purposes. I have my current passport which i just renewed a few months ago and the passport prior to that. Is it okay to present just the 2 passports if I could not find the 1st one? Thanks!
