Canceled residence visa and company applying for new work permit

My work permit is canceled by my old company and my residence permit is valid till 25 september and my new company already applied for my work permit but they said it will come on 28 september so what should i do in this case?
do i need to leave the country and come back ? or I can apply for an extension ?
