Canadian cruise ship crew member requirement to on land in beijing

My daughter is a crew member on a cruise ship that will be stopping in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong for 2 days in each port. She travels on a Canadian passport and also has a Canadian and Dutch seaman's book. What visa would she require to be able to go ashore? Is she able to get it in Calgary and how long does it take .

I think she should apply for a crew visa at the CVASC in Canada. If she lives within the consular district of the CVASC in Calgary, she can apply from the CVASC there. It often take about four working days to get it.
