About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Is a Q1 and residence permit possible for me and my family?

My father is a Chinese citizen who had lived abroad for more than 30 years. My mom, brother and I would like to live and work in China. Is it possible for us to get Q1 and residence permits even if my dad has been away for so long? Thanks!

I would also like to add that both me and my brother are older than 18. Are we allow to work with a residence permit?
