accommodation on mount emei

Question

So I can see that there is a hotel at the summit of the mountain, but is this the only accommodation on the entire mountain? Also, how long does it roughly take to ascend the mountain (in hours)? We are fit and hike back home, but are not professional mountaineers!

Of course not. On the summit, I know two hotels: Jinding Xianghuaili Hotel & Jinding Hotel, both of which are pricey. I suggest you stay in a hotel/hostel at Leidongping, half way of the mountain. Then take the cable car onto the summit. If hiking, it takes 1.5h. And if you ascend on foot, it takes 6-8 hours.

Hi,How far is Jindingxiang Huaili Hotel from the mountain top? We are thinking of staying here to watch the sunrise in the morning but couldn't locate the exact location of the hotel.Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is located at the mountain top. It is a three minute walk from the upper station of the cableway. You can easily find it. Don't worry! :)
