About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am indian pasport holder and have a link flight new york to india via PVG.

if i need any kind of visa?

Rohit, if your layover time in Shanghai is less than 24 hours, you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit there. No entry permit will be needed then.
