Is this possible to visit emeishan from Chengdu in one day?

Hi,

I will be in Chengdu in 6 Sept for conference. This is my first time in CD and I have one spare day so I would like to quick Visit Emeishan in one day. Please advice what is the best method to come (and vice verse) to Emeishan from center of CD and which is main stops I should try in Emeishan? What is latest time I should come back from Emeishan to Chengdu? I will be stay at the Dorsett Grand Hotel No.168, West Yulong Street Qingyang 610015.

You may feel a bit rushed to visit Emeishan within one day. You are suggested to start early to take bus from CD Xinnanmen Bus Station to Emeishan Tourism Bus Center at the foot of Mt. Emei. The ride takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival, take tourist bus to Leidongping (1.5 hours), walk for half an hour and then take cable car to the Golden Summit. After around 2 hours' sightseeing, get back to Leidongping before 3pm, then take another 1.5 hours to Baoguosi Tourist Center and visit Baoguo Temple and Fuhu Temple. Return back to CD before 18:30. The last bus leaves at around 19:20 from Emeishan.
