It is not in Luoyang, but Dengfeng. However, there are direct buses to Shaolin Temple from Luoyang. You can take the bus from the long distance bus center near Luoyang station. There are mnay rides a day from Beijing to Luoyang. If you take the high speed type, the first class seat is CNY587 per person and takes around 4 hours.
