Is mid- November a very cold and unpleasant time to visit Guilin and see the show?

No, the climate here is mild and comfortable all year around. The temperature may range from 60 F to 70 F at that time. It would be cool and comfortable. Thus it's ok for you to visit there in mid November. Have a nice journey!1
