About:China Transit Visa

Bangkok to Shanghai (1day) - Shanghai to Beijing (2 hr 40 min layover in Beijing) - Beijing to USA

Hello I am an American citizen. I will be traveling to Shanghai. My flight departs the next day. There is a connecting flight in Beijing. My flight departs from Bangkok to Shanghai to Beijing to US. Do I need a visa?

Sina, if the total layover time does not exceed 24 hours, you don't need it. If yes, you will need one.
