what's your opinions on whether to stay in the kowloon areaon the island (causeway

This is our first time visiting, and i would like to know which location would be best, also in terms of in the evenings if we are looking around and want to get back safely to our hotel, how easy it will be to catch the metro etc.

Well, according to my individual proposals, Causeway Bay Area is better. You can easily find many nice and budget hotels in this area. And the surrounding transportation is convenient. Causeway Bay, Wanchai and Tin Hau Metro Stations make the transportation to scenic areas much easier.
