Can I bring tampons into China?

I've heard there are virtually none in the country and want to bring a year's supply, will this be okay at customs, or will I be taxed?

The amount for one year may not be considered for self use at the customs and should be taxed. You don't really need to do that. Actually, you can find this kind of products in some large supermarkets like Wal-Mart, Carrefour, and RT-Mart. No worry.
