picking up friends

Hi, I´m never been in Beijing West Station, but I have to go to pick up some friends and I don´t know if it is easy or not. We will take the subway after, so I would like to tell them which exit is better for them, also, if you can inform me about how I should do in order to go from the subway to the arrivals halls.
