Multi Entry 6 Month Visa

Hi,

I am an Irish citizen living in Melbourne, I plan on travelling in China from 26th September. I would like to know the exact documentation I require when applying in the Visa centre.

1. Do I require proof of my legal status in Australia? I have a working holiday Visa
2. Do I require an itinerary and flight departure details? I have no out going flight at present as I am unsure what date I will leave.
3. Is it possible to apply in the centre and receive the returned Visa and passport via the post?

1. Garry, you need to provide valid entry permit for Australia.
2. If you don’t have an invitation letter, the flight itinerary and hotel arrangement are necessary.
3. If you post the application to the CVASC, the CVASC can send your passport back.

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for your help with this as I'm a bit lost.
I have a few more quesitons: does the flight itinerary need to include my initial arrival date and departure date? As I don't have a date for when I'm leaving China.
Are there any ways to get an invitation?

Garry, the flight itinerary needs to include your initial arrival date and departure date.
If you have friends or relatives in PRC, you can ask for an invitation letter from them.

Is it possible to get a Multi-Entry with 6-month Validity as a tourist L-type entry permit? I've heard different information.

I personally think it's possible. However, as you don't have a long term residence permit in Australia, it's hard to give a positive answer.
