About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi, is a VISA required when flying to Shanghai from UK to join a cruise ship?

I will be flying into Shanghai from the UK and will stay in Shanghai for 1 night before joining a cruise ship going to Japan and South Korea. I will return to Shanghai and then stay overnight before flying back to the UK.

Les, if so, you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit for both legs of your trip. So no entry permit is needed.
