Visa process and how fast does it take?

Hi,
I'm an Australian and want to know how to apply for the entry permit in China?

What is the process?

I'm flying next month in Sept 22-25

I am also going to Germany prior to that from the 17th.
Can I apply for the entry permit in person quickly? Do you just need a copy of my passport?
Since I actually need my passport for germany.

An, if you want to apply for a tourist L type in Australia, the first step is to prepare these materials including your passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-sized color photo, hotel booking record and transportation arrangement. And then submit the application to the CVASC to apply for it. Usually, it takes 4 working days.
You can apply for it in person quickly by choosing the rush service which takes 2 working days. Your original passport is also needed.
