About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Which consulate do I need to go to for my Chinese visa if I am from the Eastern Cape?

I am going to work in PRC. My Z type is in process by the school there. Once it has been sent to me here in the Eastern Cape SA, what is the next step? Where must I take it and how long does the process usually take? Do I need to make an appointment with the consulate?

Once you get the work permit and invitation letter from duly authorized unit, you can start to apply for the Z type entry permit. You can submit the application to the CVASC office in Johannesburg. The process usually takes four working days. It's not mandatory to make an appointment, but you are advised to make one on the website of CVASC to save time.
