About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Japan to Thailand via (Beijing and Dialan)

My flight leaves Fukuoka, Japan flies to Beijing with one stop (approx. 1 hour same plane at Dailan). 48 Hours later I continue onto Bangkok. Would this suffice for the 72/144 option?

Jarred, you are not eligible for the 72/144 hour free transit because you will stop in two Chinese cities. And the 144 hour free transit is only carried out in Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu. Considering your situation, you need to apply for a transit G type or tourist l type ahead of your trip.
