About:Heavenly Lake (Tian Chi)

Do I fly to Urumqi, get a taxi to Heaven Lake, and get a yurt as accommodations after I arrive?

If I do, how would I go about doing it? I want to stay at Heaven Lake 2 or 3 days.

You can take a taxi to the lake from the taxi stand near Gate 1, T1; Gate 2, T2; or Gate 2, T3. You can stay at the yurt there. It costs around CNY 350 per night. Just walk in and check in. The locals are quite friendly and hospitable. Don't worry! :)

Pls make sure that you have enough time get to lake because from the entrance you need to take shuttle bus , it may stop at around 5pm if there is no tourist .

Yurts are located 15 minutes walk from lake . you can not see them from lake . a lot of kazak who will ask you eat in their yurt or stay . you just pick one and go to his yurt . you need to fix the price with them .
