About:Chinese Permanent Residence Permit

clarification on "personal id/residence permit "

hi im married to a canadian citizen who is working in china this year, i am applying an s1 visa in the Philippines and I just wanna ask what kind of "personal id" they are referring to, does passpport is good for this requirement? because my husband is still applying for the residence permit.

I think personal id means your husband’s residence permit in PRC and your husband can get it when he enter PRC. Passport cannot be used as the proof of personal id.
