About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Perth -Taipei -Shanghai-Taipei-Hongkong-Guangzhau-Hongkong-Perth

Can 72 h free visa apply to Guangzhau and 144 hr free transit to Shanghai for Australian?

Sorry but that doesn´t work.
Taipei - Shanghai - Taipei
HongKong - Guangzhou-HongKong

In both cases you are flying back to the country you came from and that´s not allowed if you wanna use the twov.

If only we join 2 days tour from Hongkong to Guangzhou and back to Hongkong on the way to back to Perth, do we still need to apply tourist L type or we can use 72 hrs free transit?

Trish, as long as you go from HK to Guangzhou and back to HK, you will need a visa. You can fly from HK to Guangzhou and then to Macau so that you can use the 72hrs free transit visa.
