Deregistering the student residence permit to apply for a new residence permit in Europe.

I have a Chinese student residence permit which is valid up to 2017. I would like to leave China before that to start my higher education in Europe. I am a Non-EU citizen. Do I need to deregister the Chinese residence permit to apply for a European residence permit. Whether holding a valid Chinese residence permit will affect my application ?

Ebby, your residence permit will be cancelled if you terminate your study in PRC. So there is no need to worry!
