Visa requirement for China vist - UK cruise ship passenger

My Husband & I are going on a cruise with 3 stops in China - staying on the cruise ship - will we require a Chinese visa - and also, having enquired briefly, would it need to be a 'multiple' visa, as we are staying in 3 different ports. Thanks Margaret

Dear, you need to apply for a tourist L type for your stopovers in PRC. If the ship doesn’t leave China waters during the 3 stopovers, then a single-entry tourist L type is enough.
But if the ship will leave China waters during the 3 stopovers, maybe a double-entry or multiple-entry L type is needed.
