My visa expires on August 14. Can I apply a week before it has expired?

My visa expires on August 14. Can I apply a new visa a week before it expires ? or do i have to apply a new visa once my current visa has already expired? I'm going to Thailand to take a new one but I'm not sure if I have to until August 15 to apply.0

You can apply for a new visa a week before it expires. Once you exit PRC, it will expire automatically. So you can go to Thailand to apply for a new one now.0
