About:Who built the Great Wall of China?

The Emperor ordered the building of the Great Wall. Do we know the name of a main planner/overseer?

In different dynasties, the overseers are also different. The Wall had been largely constructed in the Qin (221 - 207 BC) and Ming (1368 - 1644) Dynasties. The main overseers of the two periods were General Meng Tian and General Qi Jiguang.

Thank you, Orlando. I ferreted out the General Meng Tian in the Qin dynasty and was proud of myself for doing so. You just made things more complete! Thank you for your knowledge and your kindness in answering. This was fun!
