About:Hong Kong Visa Application

Hi, my husband is from Hong Kong. We are in UK. How can I apply for Hong Kong visa?

We live in Manchester UK. So my application will be processed in UK or posted to Hong Kong? How long does it take? And Can I apply for family visit rather than leisure visit?
Cheers,

Sasha

Sasha, may I know what passport do you hold? If you hold a UK passport, you can enter HK freely for a stay not over 180 days.

Sasha, if your husband is HK citizen, you can apply for the dependant entry permit. You should first prepare these materials: the application form, a recently-taken passport-style photo, copy of your passport, and your marriage certificate.
And then submit the application to the consulate general of PRC to apply for it.

Hi Nancy, thanks a lot for your answer.
Just a last question. How long does it usually take? I only have 5 weeks from now. Do they offer express process or something like that? I'm okay for extra fee.
Cheers

If the consulate general of PRC processes your application by itself, 4 working days are needed. But if the application is transferred to HK immigration department, it takes 4 to 6 weeks and there is no express service.
