Letter of invitation ?

I am a Canadian citizen who will be visiting China as a tourist. Do I need a letter of invitation or will photo copies of my round trip airfare and hotels suffice when apply for my Chinese visa?
Please advise.
Thanks and regards

Hi Steve, photocopies of your round trip airfare and hotels suffice for the application, so you don't need the letter or invitation.
