About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

Can I apply for my z visa while not being in SA

or i had to send my passport and all relevant documents to SA?

Matthew, if you have work permit or residence permit in the country where you live, it's possible that you can apply for the Z type from there. You can't send passport and documents to SA to apply for the Z type if you are not in South Africa. In case the consular officer says you need to apply from SA, you should go back to the country to apply.
