About:China Visa Application in UK

Hi I am a British citizen. I have been working in PRC since 2003.

My wife is Chinese and we have been married for 10 years. We bought an apartment together in PRC. Our son is now 7 years old. In Chinese work Z type to foreigners is good for only one year at a time, so I have to have my Z type renewed every year. If I were to apply for a visa to PRC from the UK, would it be possible for me to get a 5 year one? On the ground that my family is in China and I have a job there. Thanks!

Terry, if you live in PRC for 5 years in a row and your annual stay in PRC is no less than 9 months, it’s possible for you to apply for the permanent residence permit for spouse reunion which may be valid for 5 years.

If your wife is Chinese citizen and stable marriage for five years, then you can apply for five year permanent Chinese ID card. Under this card you are treated same as Chinese citizen. You are covered for Social Security (some provinces) you are allowed to work, do business. If you are married in China then just a marriage certificate, application form, 2 photographs, your original passport. If you are married outside china then Marriage Certificate, translation in chinese and either attested by Chinese Embassy in U.K / U.K. embassy in China. You can go to EXIT ENTRY department. in case further guidance please contact me thru my email goldenlion56yahoo.com. Wish you all the best.
Thanks

Dear Terry,
Please provide me your email id. I can provide you with lot of information. You do not need Z visa any more. You can apply PERMANENT CHINESE ID CARD. You can stay, work in China. You will be at par like Chinese citizen. You do not need any kind of visa any more. you may contact me on goldenlion56yahoo.com.

Permanent residence permit holders will enjoy many of the same privileges as local residents. They may receive social security, buy apartments and cars and receive the same public services as local people. In many Chinese cities, only locals or migrants with more than five years of paying local taxes in the city are allowed to buy apartments and cars.
