Help with getting China work Z type

I got British passport, born in Hong Kong, with HK 3* ID card. I'm living in UK and need to travel to PRC. Posted my application to agent they declined as I haven't got the "home return permit" and may need to apply a certificate of renunciation?

Anyone had similar experience know what exactly I need to do to get the visa? As I need to travel next week!!!!

Karen, as far as I know, the home return permit is not needed when you apply for mainland PRC work Z type. You are advised to contact with the embassy of PRC and consult about this problem. Tel:020-7631 1430
