changing visa into residence permit (part 2)

Question

I hold a 180 days Q2 type and my 2 month baby too (mom is chinese). Can we apply for a Q1 type at the PSB?

Yes, it's possible that you can change your Q2 to Q1 at the local Exit and Entry Administation of PSB. You can have a try. After you get the Q1, you can get a temporary residence permit.
