About:Four Maiden's Mountain (Mt. Siguniangshan)

Understand there are different routes one can take from Chengdu to Mt.Siguniangshan.

I intend to hire a private car instead of taking the bus. What is the best route I should ask the driver to take? Which one offers the best scenery and shortest drive?

You may ask the driver to take this route: Chengdu-Yingxiu-Wolong-Balang Mountain- Shuangqiao Valley of the Four Maiden's Mountain. The Shuangqiao Valley presents intoxicating scenry, including mountains, lakes, and forests. If time permits, you can also go to Changping Valley or Haizi Valley. :)
