About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Free 72 hour visa for my trip

I am an American Citizen and I am planning on taking China Eastern Airline from Seoul, South Korea to travel around Singapore, Malaysia, and Shanghai. I have a stop over at Shanghai for 6 hours before my connecting flight to Singapore, and I am planning on leaving the airport to grab something to eat and come back and fly to Singapore. Then when I come back from Malaysia I am planning on staying at Shanghai for 2 days and fly back to Korea. But the flight stops at Qingdao for 11 hours. Do you think I can enter china multiple times and use the free 72 hour free transit?

For your 2nd stay in China you have to apply for a tourist visa as the 144h twow doesn't allow 2 stops in China.
