One day travel to Macau

I'll be traveling alone on Nov 22 in Macau. Is it a safe place to travel? I'm thinking of riding a boat at night of 21 from hongkong. Where do you suggest I stay for overnight in Macau? Also is it better if I get a day tour or travel alone and explore? Where can I go? Any suggestions? Thank you!

As a famous tourist city, Macau is quite a safe place to travel, but you are not suggested to go to the remote areas or stay out too late alone. There are many hotels ranging from youth hostels to luxury star hotels in Macau, most of which are located at Macao Peninsula and Taipa. You can choose one according to your own demand. For the one day trip, I think the Ruins of St. Paul's, Monte Fort, A-Ma Temple and Venetian Macau-Resort-Hotel are the highlights that you can not miss.
