About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Melbourne >Singapore>Shanghai PVG>Singapore>Melbourne

Hi we have current Australian passports(australian citizens), going to shanghai. We will be staying at disneyland resort hotel for 4 nights and then flying out. I have read the info above and looks like we are ok with the 144 and wont have to apply for visa before we arrive?

John, according to your travel route: Melbourne >Singapore>Shanghai PVG>Singapore>Melbourne, you will fly back to Singapore after staying in Shanghai, so you cannot enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.

Thanks for the quick reply, is this even though the stop in Singapore on the way to Shanghai is just in transit?

Also I made an error and our origin is Sydney not Melbourne, so it would be
Sydney to Shanghai via Singapore,shanghai to Singapore then Singapore to Melbourne
